Fiona - Wow, what a stunning video…. This looks like a really fun shoot! Gorgeous work Jen.

jen - Thanks Fiona. Didn’t Martyn and Helen do a great job? Whole team, actually. Couldn’t have done it without them. And yes, great fun! But then, all my shoots are like that…..

Vintage camera art

How gorgeous is this camera painting? What a perfect gift it would be for the favourite photographer in your life.

Not that I’m dropping hints or anything…. 😉

And those of you who have been for a shoot or an album design session with me will know that it also just happens to be in the PERFECT colours for my office. You know that gorgeous red shelf I have? The one that has a space for something just like this….?

You can find it in Michele’s Etsy store by clicking on the image, or by clicking here.

Staying connected, part 2

Many of you enjoyed this post  that told the story of how my husband (then boyfriend) and I managed to keep in touch while we lived in different countries for a little over a year.

How did we do it? We wrote to each other. Real letters by hand. I guess we loved each other that much.

After I wrote that post, I found these on Etsy.

I think these cards are wonderful!  In this day of emails and SMS, when the only things you get in your snail mail letter box are bills, or junk, or snails — yes, we have snails living in ours! — wouldn’t it be lovely to one day find that someone loved you enough to write you a card &  go all the way to the post office with it?

So go check out the liddabits store on Etsy, and maybe order something to send to a friend of yours to remind them that you love them.

Happy birthday to me. And you.

Yup, another birthday. It comes around towards the end of August every year.

Last year,  my family gave me a great little point and press camera. Really it’s for them because they’re too scared to use my “proper” camera. You might think that sounds kind of selfish, but I don’t see it that way. Because they’re scared to use my work gear, there are almost no photos of me in our family album. This little camera has gone some way towards redressing that problem, and I am thrilled to bits about that.

You know, you really should exist in the photographic story of your family. Don’t wait until you’ve lost x-number of kilos, or until you’ve grown your hair long again, or you’ve bought new clothes. Your family loves you just as you are.

This year I’ve decided to celebrate my birthday by giving YOU a present, to help make sure that you exist in your family album too.

Anyone who books a shoot with me in the month of August can have the cost of their session put towards their print and product purchase*. Happy birthday to you! Come in and let me create some really beautiful images to share with your family. One day your children will own these images, and they will be the most precious thing they have of you.

So how does it work?

If, for example, you wanted to come in for a lovely couture session like this one here…

…it will cost you $250 (my standard session fee for a full makeover with a professional hair and makeup artist and a day’s shooting by me), and that $250 will be credited to your account for purchasing photos, folio boxes, canvas prints…. whatever takes your fancy from my product range.

If, though, you prefer a family portrait session like the one here

it will cost you $150 (or $250 with hair and makeup services for mum) and that amount will be credited towards your account for the purchase of wall prints, an album, a folio box… whatever takes your fancy from my product range.

Note: You don’t have to have your session in August, you just need to book in and pay your sitting fee between 1st August and 31st August 2013.

So, happy birthday! To me and you! You’ll have a great time, get a great deal and have some gorgeous images to remember it all!

To book or for more information, contact me by clicking here.

love,

Jen.

* Offer valid between 01/08/2013 and 31/08/2013. Session fee must be paid in full in the month of August 2013. No cash value in whole or in part, and may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Excludes corporate headshot sessions.

 NOTE: OFFER NOW CLOSED.
