Researchers have now shown that it takes less than a second for people to make judgements about you based on the way you look. It’s unfortunate, I think, that we do that. But we do. So it’s probably wise to do what you can to make a good first impression.

And that includes your online profile.

To help you out I am introducing a new ‘product’ to my lineup this year: Corporate Couture.

Who is this product for?

These mini sessions are perfect for people who want high quality professional images for use in their business, who have been looking at my work and wishing they could get just a little bit of it without spending a whole day in the studio. It’s for people who run their own business, or who need images for a professional portfolio (actors, writers, public speakers, singers and musicians). It’s for women and men, and it’s perfect if you have a small team of people who work for you who all need to be represented on your website.

Who is this product not for?

This kind of session is not for those who want to be pampered, indulged, and photographed in lots of different outfits from formal gowns down to their sexy lingerie. If you’re that kind of person, then you’ll want to book yourself in for a full couture session. They’re fun, indulgent, and the ultimate girls’ day out!

So what’s involved and what does it cost?

Your investment: $595

Corporate Couture sessions include professional hair and makeup (which takes about an hour or so),  your photo shoot where we will create a range of different looks (allow another hour or so), and three high resolution retouched digital images of your choice, for an investment of $595. Additional images can be purchased at $150 each. All prices include GST. And remember, if you’re using these images for your business, the cost is a legitimate tax deduction.

Who wants an early Christmas present?

I have a wee little something to give away as an early Christmas present.

TWO wee little somethings, actually.

The next two people to book in for couture sessions with me will receive $50.00 gift certificates from one of two local boutique businesses. (Shop small, I say!) I have one gift from Clientelle Boutique in St Ives Shopping Village. Gorgeous clothing, accessories, footwear, and a few bits and pieces for the home, too. The second gift is from Avenue Luxe. They have a store in Wahroonga, and they have just opened another one on Rohini Street in Turramurra. Yay!! Delicious accessories for your home, lovely trinkets for your body and some beautiful bits and pieces for your wardrobe, too.

Today it was my turn.

There are exciting things going on at vividity at the moment, and today I was fortunate enough to have a turn in the makeup chair. Divine!

This is the lovely Helen Sotis, Makeup Artist. Notice how she is looking at me….. it’s no wonder my clients feel so good when they have their hair and makeup done by her. She has the ability to put you right at ease from the moment you sit in her chair, and she treats each and every person with such gentle care. She makes you look and feel fantastic. How could you not love her?

And why was I being made up? Well…. you’ll just have to wait and see (but the image you saw for this post on my blog homepage gives a big hint!)

Even the housework is glamourous this month!

When it’s Frocktober, even doing the vacuuming feels better!

This month I’m frocking up every day in support of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. You can make a donation to help them find an early detection test for this disease that takes the life of an Australian woman every ten hours.

And remember, a Pap smear will pick up early changes that may lead to cervical cancer, but it will not do a thing to detect ovarian cancer. If you have any concerns about the health of your ovaries, please go and see your GP.

Let’s Frock On!

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition I had running through the North Shore Mums website. The winners have been contacted, and sessions are being scheduled. Such fun awaits us! I’m looking forward to showing you their images and telling your the stories of them and their frocks.

I am still looking for good frock stories!

If you have a dress with a story behind it, please get in touch. It doesn’t have to be a BIG story. It might just be your favourite frock. Tell me about it in celebration of your femininity, and in support of Frocktober.

And the Frocktober celebrations are continuing here with a special offer that runs through to the end of the month (31/10/2013). Session fees this month are only $150 (usually $250) and that amount will be credited in full towards your print and product purchase. AND if you make a tax deductible donation to my Frocktober Campaign, I will match that donation in credit in your account up to another $150.

What a bargain! In effect I’m giving you your session!
