After much ado….(And the winner is, part 2)

No, not much ado about nothing. Not at all…. but perhaps I should start from the beginning.

This is Leanne.

She won first prize in last year’s Frocktober competition (Frocktober 2013, in support of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation). We scheduled a shoot for her early in 2014 and in between winning the comp and the scheduled shoot day, Leanne went back to work, and her gorgeous baby girl started child care.

And got sick.

And passed that illness on to Leanne, who passed it on to her husband…. and around and around it all went. If you are, or have been, a parent of young children in day care, then you know how it goes.

As a result, our session was delayed a few times. And then MY child got really sick, and so it was delayed a little longer….. until one lovely sunny day, it finally all came together!

And this is the result.

And here is the dress with a story behind it that won Leanne the competition.

It’s a simple little black shift that Leanne has worn over and over again. You know the kind… the one you throw over your swimsuit at the beach, the one you can pair with a cute pair of shoes and a great tote bag and wear to the park with the kids, the one you can add some bling to and wear to a casual gathering with friends and the one, as Leanne found out, that you can suddenly throw on when you’re in labour and you realise that you have planned everything else except what you are going to wear!!

Would you like a chance to win a photo shoot just like Leanne did? Did you know that there is an even bigger and better competition for Frocktober this year? You didn’t? Well now you do. There’s a photo shoot with me, a new hairstyle with Marie-France Group and two hours with a personal stylist up for grabs.  Here’s the entry form, but be quick! Entries close midnight Monday 8th September 2014.
